For 10 years the Powell River Peak and Weekend Shopper have been the voice of the Powell River community, serving the City of Powell River and the communities of Powell River Regional District, including Texada Island, Lund, Savary Island and Saltery Bay.
With a strong focus on local news, sports, community events and an equally strong commitment to the Powell River business community, the Peak has earned the loyalty of its readers, with 81 per cent of Powell River residents 18 years and older reading the Peak each week (Combase Study 2005).
Always striving to improve its product, the Peak this year has launched a new Real Estate Weekly product and has expanded its offering of special sections.
The Peak has been recognized by its industry peers and has won provincial, national, and international advertising and editorial awards, including placing in the top three newspapers in Canada for general excellence in its circulation class two of the last three years.
Distribution on Friday is available through the Weekend Shopper with approximately 8000 copies.
