Prince George is Northern British Columbia's largest city with a population of over 70,000 people. Located in the geographic centre of British Columbia, we are the commercial, financial, educational and health centre for BC's resource-rich heartland.
While our industrial base is preominantly renewable resouces such as forestry and pulp and paper, we are a centre for government and offer both a university, the University of Northern B.C., and a college, the College of New Caledonia.
We are an active sports community and one of the few in Canada to support both a Major Junior hockey team, the Cougars, and a Junior "A" team, the Spruce Kings.
For conferences, our modern Civic Centre can feed up to 1,000 people and our eco-tourism amenities are well known.
