Big Brother welcomes 14 new houseguests as it returns to CH and Global for sixth season

(TORONTO - Tuesday, June 28, 2005) The hit summer series Big Brother returns to CH and Global three nights a week for its sixth season with another intriguing group of houseguests. The one-hour premiere airs Thursday, July 7 on CH Hamilton and CH Vancouver Island and on Global Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec and Maritimes.
Big Brother 6, hosted by Julie Chen, will follow some of the most colourful and competitive houseguests to date. This season, the 14 houseguests have a new home, on the CBS Studio site in Los Angeles. These strangers will live together for three months in the house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Contestants will participate and compete in various assignments to test the skills of each individual player. Houseguests will be voted off weekly one by one until the final contestant is chosen and awarded the grand prize of $500,000 (US).
This season delivers new twists and secrets that will impact the houseguests like never before, guaranteeing a memorable experience for both the participants and viewers alike.
