Global News Maritimes Wins Two Atlantic Journalism Awards

Television Awards Include Best Continuing Coverage and Best Spot News Photojournalism |

(Halifax, Nova Scotia) Global News Maritimes has won two major television awards at the 2005 Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJA), which were presented last Saturday on May 6 at the Halifax Mariott Harbourfront Hotel.
Jacqueline Foster of Global Maritimes Halifax newsroom won the Gold Award for Best Continuing Coverage (Television) for Digby RCMP, a series of exclusive stories investigating complaints of racial and sexual harassment involving members of the Digby RCMP.
Scott Gluck of the Fredericton bureau won the Gold Award for Best Spot News Photojournalism (Television) for Saint-Anne-De-Kent, Church Fire, in-depth coverage of a fire caused by lightning that destroyed a 119-year-old heritage church in New Brunswick.
