CH to air season III of The Shield

(TORONTO - Wednesday, February 23, 2005) Season III of the critically acclaimed police drama The Shield will premiere Monday, March 7 on CH Hamilton and CH Vancouver Island.
Emmy Award-winning Michael Chiklis stars as Vic Mackey, a corrupt Los Angeles detective who heads up the precinct strike team. A force to be reckoned with, Mackey manages to involve the entire team in his twisted schemes and manipulative machinations. The series co-stars Catherine Dent, Walton Goggins, Michael Jace, Kenneth Johnson, Benito Martinez and CCH Pounder.
The Shield earned Chiklis a 2003 Golden Globe for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama, as well as an Emmy Award nomination in 2003 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. In 2002, Chiklis picked up an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and a 2002 Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Drama.
The Shield-Season III premieres Monday, March 7 on CH Hamilton and CH Vancouver Island at 10pm.
