Global Television to premiere the new House & Home with Lynda Reeves on October 31

(TORONTO - Tuesday, October 18, 2005) Lynda Reeves brings her decorating and design expertise to Global Television with a new show House & Home with Lynda Reeves on Mondays and Fridays at 3pm beginning October 31. The show will also air on PRIME Saturdays at 9pm beginning November 5.
House & Home with Lynda Reeves is a half-hour weekly ground-breaking design show with a new look and feel. Home design guru Lynda Reeves investigates both sides of the most talked about design debates by taking us into the best homes in the country, including her own.
“We’ve completely shaken up the conventional decorating show format,” says Lynda Reeves, host and executive producer of House & Home. “This season we’re challenging our viewers to explore the real issues behind all of our design and decorating decisions. We’re visiting real people with incredible homes that often break the rules, and we’re finding out why they did it and if it works.”
House & Home with Lynda Reeves is not another makeover show. In addition to touring two homes in every episode, the show also gets the opinions of industry experts including exclusive access to the editors at Canadian House & Home magazine. Some of the burning issues tackled this season include, “Living Naked: Are you Ready for Minimalism?” and “Is The Decorator Dead?”
Global Television is excited to bring the Reeves brand to a larger conventional audience giving it multi-platform exposure. In addition to the television series, the partnership with CanWest MediaWorks includes a book publishing deal and a newspaper column that will be written by Reeves for CanWest’s major market newspapers, including the National Post.

House & Home with Lynda Reeves airs Mondays and Fridays on Global beginning Monday, October 31 as follows:

British Columbia - 11:30am
Alberta/Lethbridge - 11am
Maritimes - 1pm
It also airs on PRIME Saturdays at 9pm beginning November 5.
