New Canadian series The Office Temps to premiere July 30 on Global Television

(TORONTO - Wednesday, July 5, 2005) The new 10-part series The Office Temps will premiere Saturday, July 30 on the Global Television Network. The one-hour, hidden camera series takes a comical look at the world of temporary employment. Three young temp workers are hired to work in what they believe is an office. Once hired, they arrive at a staged work environment, at a bogus company, where every employee is an actor. The first-ever show of its kind gives a whole new meaning to "first day on the job."
"This series is unique and really funny," said Executive Producer Michael Geddes. "No other show has ever been done of this nature in the world, and it has some hilarious television moments that anyone who has worked in a first job can relate to."
Each day, an unpredictable series of events and scenarios will unfold around the new group of hired temps. The temps must overcome not only first week jitters, but also the absurd antics of this makeshift workplace and all its off-the-wall, (actor) colleagues. Hidden cameras and scripted storylines create an Orwellian environment where viewers of the show are flies on the wall.
The Office Temps is produced by Toronto-based Lone Eagle Entertainment. The series is executive produced by Michael Geddes, produced by Maria Pimentel and directed by John Bell.
The Office Temps premieres Saturday, July 30 on the Global Television Network as follows:
Maritimes/Ontario/Quebec/Manitoba/Saskatchewan/Alberta/British Columbia - 10pm
