Molson Indy Toronto airs July 10 on Global

(TORONTO - Tuesday, July 5, 2005) Live coverage of the 2005 Molson Indy Toronto will air Sunday, July 10 on the Global Television Network. This year marks the 20th anniversary of one of Canada's biggest sporting events. At speeds of up to 230 mph, the Molson Indy Toronto from Exhibition Stadium will feature defending champion Sebastien Bourdais as he goes wheel-to-wheel with international drivers in a high-octane chase for the checkered flag.

"We are excited about this year's broadcast of the 20th Molson Indy Toronto, as well as the 4th annual Molson Indy Montreal in August," said Adam Ivers, Vice President of Programming. "These events bring to both cities some of the most competitive racing in the world. They are a great platform to showcase the talents of our Canadian race car drivers and the many charities that benefit from their efforts and those of the Molson Indy Foundation."

"Molson is proud to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Molson Indy Toronto," said Jo-Ann McArthur, President, Molson Sports and Entertainment. "We are fortunate to have a broadcast partner in Global Television who is also committed to bringing Canadian race fans comprehensive coverage of one of the best races on the Champ Car circuit."

The action begins on Saturday, July 9 with a one-hour pre-race qualifying special at 7pm ET. The one-hour show will be hosted by Global's Jim Tatti and Don Martin. Chris McClure and former CART driver Jon Beekhuis will provide expert analysis and colour commentary, with added analysis by Todd Lewis.

On Sunday, July 10, the Molson Indy Pre-Race Show will cover all of the opening ceremonies. The half-hour special will be hosted by Jim Tatti and Don Martin, and feature expert analysis and colour commentary by Chris McClure and Todd Lewis.

The broadcast of the Molson Indy Pre-Race Show is a production of Molson Sports and Entertainment, produced by Molson's Paul Gris and directed by Mark Askin.
