(TORONTO - Friday, April 8, 2005) Thursday night's episode of Survivor: Palau drew 1.776 million viewers (A18-49) nationally, with a total 2+ audience of 2.997 million. As the last member standing of the ill-fated Ulong Tribe, 25-year-old pharmaceutical rep Stephanie LaGrossa made Survivor history as the first "tribe of one."
With only two tribe members left on Ulong, it took an individual immunity challenge at Tribal Council to decide who would remain. It was 27-year-old waiter Bobby Jon Drinkard who saw his torch snuffed as host Jeff Probst commented: "Tonight the tribe definitely did not speak," referring to the fact that no votes were cast against him.
Last night's episode earned an 11 rating (A18-49) in the Toronto market, according to BBM People Meter Data. In Vancouver, the episode garnered a 16.2 rating.
Next week, one participant struggles with life on the island, and another throws a tantrum after being excluded from a tribal excursion.
Survivor Palau airs Thursday nights on the Global Television Network as follows:
Ontario/Quebec/British Columbia - 8pm
Manitoba/Saskatchewan - 7pm
Alberta/Maritimes - 9pm
