2.2 million viewers watch The Apprentice

(TORONTO - Friday, April 1, 2005) Thursday's episode of The Apprentice drew 1.303 million viewers (A18-49), with a total 2+ audience of 2.152 million. The audience built 74% versus last week and was the highest rated Apprentice this season.

This week's episode, in which 29-year-old supply chain consultant Stephanie (Book Smarts team) was fired, earned an 11.9 rating among A18-49 in the Toronto market, according to BBM People Meter Data. In Vancouver, the episode garnered a 15.1 rating.

With seven candidates remaining on The Apprentice, the competition becomes more intense as they take on New York City's corporate jungle in the ultimate job interview and the chance to work for business tycoon Donald Trump. On the next episode, a task involving the fashion industry leads to one candidate's unraveling.

The Apprentice airs Thursday nights on the Global Television Network as follows:

Ontario/Quebec/British Columbia - 9pm
Manitoba/Saskatchewan - 8pm
Alberta/Maritimes - 10pm
