Global highlights for week of April 4

Monday, April 4
Fear Factor (Rebroadcast): Contestants must free themselves from a churning paddle wheel, and try the extreme sport of helisurfing, dangling from a speeding helicopter over a lake.

Behind the Camera: Mork & Mindy (Special): Filmed in Vancouver, the two-hour TV movie revisits the 1970s classic comedy Mork & Mindy, which launched the career of comedian Robin Williams. Toronto native Chris Diamantopoulos portrays Williams whose role as the alien visitor Mork captured the hearts of millions of television viewers. Williams began his career as a young, rising comedian who was cast as an alien on an episode of Happy Days, which unexpectedly became a huge ratings success and catapulted him into overnight television stardom. Erinn Hayes stars as Pam Dawber, the young actress who played Mindy, the likeable human who Mork boarded with on the sitcom. Daniel Roebuck plays television sitcom producer Garry Marshall. The movie explores the cast's tumultuous four years of creative infighting, personal problems and network interferences as well as Williams' painful struggle to cope with his newfound fame and sudden success.

Tuesday, April 5
House (Rebroadcast): When a young housewife falls ill, Dr. House suspects that she has contracted a rare sexually transmitted disease, but she and her husband deny having an affair.

Judging Amy: When a five-year-old girl becomes the centre of a custody battle between her parents and her 21-year-old half-sister, Amy wants to know why the sibling feels so strongly about removing the child from her home.

Wednesday, April 6
That '70s Show (Rebroadcast): Fez becomes interested in a hot new client (guest star Lindsay Lohan) at the salon, but he faces some stiff competition from Kelso.

Will & Grace (Rebroadcast): Although Grace tries to ignore Valentine's Day, she winds up with a hunky greeting-card writer (guest star Ed Burns). Karen's former nemesis (guest star Jeff Goldblum) tries to win her heart by showering her with gifts.

Gilmore Girls (Rebroadcast): Rory offers to help Logan write an article for the school paper, but is disappointed when he doesn't invite her to be his date at a book signing party. When Richard sees Emily talking to man she dated, he rear-ends her car, forcing her to ride home with him.

Emily warns Christopher that Lorelai and Luke are getting serious.

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab Five's mission: to help Winston learn to be a hip host and get his new restaurant off to a good start on its opening night.

Thursday, April 7
Joey (Rebroadcast): Joey can bring only one person to the premiere of his new show, so he devises a contest to determine who it will be.

Survivor: Palau: The 10th castaway is eliminated.

The Apprentice: When the seven remaining candidates are asked to create clothing lines that combine fashion and technology, one team loses its seed money and the other is pressed for time.

Without a Trace (Rebroadcast): Jack suspects that Rick Knowles is responsible when a homeless woman goes missing from a shelter that is linked to a previous case.

Friday, April 8
Last Chance for Romance: Arleigh and Paul: Though Arleigh and Paul share chemistry, they are fundamentally different in their approach to life: Paul wants to live life spontaneously while Arleigh needs to feel her future is secure. She also needs to be with someone who can help share the financial load, and Paul doesn't seem to fit the bill. The 13-part series is hosted by Cheryl Hickey and features relationship expert Joe Rich.

Whose Design Is It Anyway?: Designer and host Jason Cass goes head to head with homeowners to redesign an area in their home. The winning design will be selected by family, partners and spouses of the homeowners, and a renowned home décor expert.

Arrested Development (Rebroadcast): In exchange for a date with Lindsay, a family friend named Uncle Jack agrees to help save the company. Meanwhile, Gob becomes suspicious of Lucille after he finds Stan Sitwell's phone number on her caller ID. Liza Minnelli and Martin Short make guest appearances.

Arrested Development (Rebroadcast): Lucille abducts George Michael for a mother-son dance; Buster adjusts to having a hook for a hand; Gob reunites with his estranged wife; Tobias stars as George Sr. in a biopic about the Bluth family, which makes Lindsay more attracted to him. Henry Winkler and Carl Weathers make guest appearances.

Saturday, April 9
The Masters 2005 (Special): Live third-round coverage of the prestigious tournament from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., features defending champion Phil Mickelson. Canadian contenders include Stephen Ames and Mike Weir, winner of the 2003 Masters. Final-round coverage airs Sunday.

The Messengers: Connecting to the Beyond (Special): This new one-hour documentary explores the lives of three mediums who share what it is like to communicate with the afterlife. The special reveals the pros and cons of their work, their techniques for accessing spirits, and how their gift has affected their personal life. The documentary also looks at some of the amazing results of their public and private readings as they connect people to loved ones who have passed over.

Saturday Night Live: With host Cameron Diaz and musical guest Green Day.

Sunday, April 10
The Masters 2005 (Special): Live final-round coverage of the prestigious tournament from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

The Contender: The one-hour unscripted series explores the human drama in and outside of the boxing ring as 16 aspiring boxers pursue their dream of becoming a champion prizefighter and winning $1 million (US) in prize money.

The Simpsons: Bart is expelled for a mishap at school and enrolls in a Catholic private school where he meets an Eminem-quoting priest named Father Sean (guest star Liam Neeson). Bart's growing interest alarms his parents and ultimately drives Homer to visit the church. He, too, finds himself attracted to the religion and it's up to Marge to bring her family back to their roots before it's too late. Joe Mantegna also guest stars.

Arrested Development: Gob confronts Phillip Litt, the guy who featured Gob's magic trick mistakes on a Girls with Low Self-Esteem video. Michael tricks Lucille into going to rehab by telling her it's a spa. Michael must turn to Lucille for help when Kitty kidnaps George Sr. and attempts to blackmail the Bluths. Zack Braff makes a guest appearance.

The Simpsons (Rebroadcast): While on a school field trip, Lisa calls for action to save Springfield's glacier. Homer takes over for Grampa as a store greeter and does such a great job it gets him a full time position with no chance for advancement. Lisa gets a restraining order against Bart, forcing him to stay at least 20 feet away from her at all times, or go to jail. Jane Kaczmarek and Gary Busey guest star.

Kelsey Grammer Presents: The Sketch Show: The half-hour comedy series features quick-fire puns, gags, one-liners and sketches that showcase the comedic talents of Kaitlin Olsen, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Paul F. Tompkins, Malcolm Barrett and Lee Mack. Shot both on location and in front of a studio audience, the series is executive produced by Kelsey Grammer and is based on the critically acclaimed and award-winning U.K. series.

Crossing Jordan: The suicide of a one-armed man leads Jordan to the missing murder weapon from a past case in which she helped send the accused murderer to death row. As the execution approaches, Jordan and Woody search for evidence to save an innocent life. Bug teams up with Det. Roz Framus (guest star Sandra Bernhard) when the body of a vagrant whom Bug witnessed being kidnapped ends up in the morgue.
