Global Television receives 7 AMPIA Award nominations

(TORONTO - Thursday, March 24, 2005) The Global Television Network is pleased to announce that three independent productions commissioned by CanWest have received seven Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA) Award nominations. The western-based lifestyle shows and documentaries that aired on Global and Prime will be honoured at an awards presentation Saturday, April 30 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.
"We are extremely proud that some of our great lifestyle programming and documentaries produced in partnership with western-based producers have been recognized by this prestigious event," said Anne-Marie Varner, Head of Original Production, CanWest MediaWorks."
The AMPIA Award nominations include:
Best Documentary / Reality Series

Best Light Information Series

Best Director (Non-Drama Over 30 Minutes)

Best Editor (Non-Drama over 30 Minutes)

Best Overall Sound (Non-Drama)
