Survivor: Palau premiere draws 3.4 million viewers

(TORONTO - Friday, February 18, 2005) Thursday night's premiere of Survivor: Palau won the hour for the Global Television Network, drawing 2.111 million (A18-49) viewers nationally, with a total 2+ audience of 3.362 million. This marks a 16% increase among A18-49 and a 17% increase among 2+ viewers over last season's Survivor: Vanuatu premiere.
The first episode, in which two contestants were ejected right from the outset and 39-year-old lawyer Jolanda Jones was the first to be voted out, earned a 12.6 rating among A18-49 in the Toronto market, according to BBM People Meter Data. In Vancouver, the episode garnered a 20.5 rating.
NOTE: The premiere of Survivor: Palau will be rebroadcast Saturday, February 19 at 9pm on CH Hamilton and CH Vancouver Island.
Survivor: Palau, the 10th instalment of the adventure-reality series, airs Thursday nights on the Global Television Network as follows:
