Global's got Live @ the Grammys followed by the 47th Annual Grammy Awards

(TORONTO - Tuesday, January 25, 2005) Live @ the Grammys, a half-hour red carpet special hosted by Cheryl Hickey, followed by the 47th Annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, February 13 on the Global Television Network.
The 47th Annual Grammy Awards will be presented live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Queen Latifah, a nominee, will host the music event as well as perform on the show.
This year's Canadian nominees include Sarah McLachlan, Nickelback, Shania Twain and Rush. Nominees for record of the year include Ray Charles (Genius Loves Company), Green Day (American Idiot), Alicia Keys (The Diary of Alicia Keys), Usher (Confessions) and Kanye West (The College Dropout). U2, Green Day, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw are scheduled to perform, and Ellen DeGeneres and John Travolta will present.
Global Television's Cheryl Hickey will host Live @ the Grammys, a half-hour pre-Grammy special that features interviews with the recording industry's biggest stars, behind-the-scenes access to some of the most glamorous and exclusive parties, Grammy performer rehearsals, Canadian prospects, and all the hottest fashions and excitement that make the Grammy Awards one of the biggest television events of the season.
Viewers will be asked to cast their own ballots online at www.canada.com/entertainment for Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year. The results of the online voting will be announced on the program.
Cheryl will also provide live updates from backstage at the Grammy Awards featuring highlights of memorable moments, musical performances, speeches, and fashion hits and misses.
