Summer Schedule Highlights
(CALGARY) This Primetime Update brings you highlights of the CH summer schedule including the Canadian premiere of a new comedy from the creators of BBC's The Office...

Extras (Canadian Television Series Premiere)
Wednesdays at 8:30pm ET/PT Beginning May 31

Ricky Gervais (BBC's The Office) stars as fortysomething Englishman Andy Millman who was bitten by the acting bug late in life, but can't seem to make a name for himself, despite his best efforts to steal a line, milk a scene or schmooze with the crew. His best friend, Maggie, suffers a similar fate, though she would much rather catch a man than a break. While Andy envies the A-list stars, he never misses an opportunity to ingratiate himself with them, hoping it will lead to that first elusive line of dialogue.

Each episode features cameos by top Hollywood stars including Samuel L. Jackson, Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart. In the first episode, Andy is an extra on the set of a movie about the Balkans conflict directed by Ben Stiller. As Andy attempts to win himself a speaking role by befriending Goran, (the Croatian man whose story is being told), he is drawn into the friction that has developed between Stiller and Goran.

Big Brother 7: All-Stars (New Season)
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT and Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT Beginning July 6*

Viewers will be reunited with some of the most unforgettable, entertaining and controversial houseguests from seasons past.Twenty former houseguests will be on hand when the lucky 12 competitors are announced and then immediately enter the house. As in previous editions, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house one by one. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.

While living together in a confined space won't be anything new to these houseguests, choosing between previous relationships and building new alliances could be a challenge.
*Big Brother will be seen on Global in Alberta only
