Launch of digital media section provides job postings and career path information in growing sector |

(Vancouver, British Columbia) British Columbias new media industry continues to experience unprecedented growth with over 15,000 full time employees and 800 new media companies in the province. As a result of the growing industry, working.com has partnered with the premier association New Media BC, to include a new media focused section on Canadas fastest growing job site, working.com.
The new New Media section is located in the technology sector at www.working.com/technology and will provide New Media BCs members with a number of services and information including; career opportunities, resume posting, company backgrounders, industry insights, training and education.
working.com continues to provide industry professionals with the tools they need to thrive in their sectors, said Kim Peters, General Manager, working.com, CanWest MediaWorks. This new dedicated section will not only showcase job postings of the New Media BC association members, it will provide much needed resources and information such as education and training requirements.

New media is described as the use of new and emerging interactive digital media for the purposes of entertaining, educating or informing. The new media industry in BC encompasses all digital content sectors including interactive design, mobile content, digital film and animation, e-learning, and interactive entertainment (games).
