(TORONTO) Global News Ontario today announced an exciting round of on-air moves, heralding the latest phase in the network's acclaimed rebrand strategy, and reinforcing an award-winning reputation for delivering the most innovative, engaging content in the marketplace.

These Global News Anchor Team updates will debut across the following properties on Monday, September 18th:

News Hour: Anne-Marie Mediwake will join award-winning journalist Leslie Roberts as Co-Anchor of Ontario's fastest-growing suppertime News package. A Global News reporter and anchor since 2001 - most recently as Co-Anchor of the Morning News, and Anchor of the Noon News - Anne-Marie has tackled a variety of investigative and social issues assignments with many of Canada's national broadcasters during her career. In addition, Meteorologist Anthony Farnell, most recently of Global News Quebec, will join the team, delivering the province's most comprehensive forecast and on-the-scene reporting. A dedicated weather professional, Anthony trained both in the US and Canada.

News Final: Carolyn MacKenzie, an award-winning Global News reporter and anchor, takes the 11pm chair, delivering late breaking news and the bringing the day's stories into perspective. Prior to joining the Global team in 2004, Carolyn reported and anchored both in Ontario and in Eastern Canada.

Morning News: Zuraidah Alman will join Alan Carter as Co-Anchor of the Morning News, and will also Anchor the Noon News. An energetic reporter and anchor - most recently of Citytv Toronto - Zuraidah has worked throughout Ontario covering both hard news, lifestyle and weather reporting for a variety of broadcasters.
