(Toronto, ON) Dose.ca, Canadas online destination for youth-minded individuals, today announced the enhancement of its online experience. A new look and feel for Dose.cas homepage and better navigation increase the websites appeal and ease of use. The refined website provides a unique, edgy entertainment spin with a greater focus on celebrities through image-driven content and exclusive interviews.
New interactive features include a Media Player, easy-to-access RSS feeds and news powered by canada.com and CanWest daily metro newspapers from across the country. In addition, Dose.ca is introducing new sections and content including:
• Famous Feedback, a collection of celebrity quotes;
• Celebrity Slag, a weekly look at celebrities at their best;
• Just Announced, a listing of newly announced events; and
• Coming soon, Video Blog, a daily streaming video of entertainment updates.
With this new site design, Dose.ca is pushing boundaries more than ever before, said Scott Andrews, Marketing Manager, Dose.ca. Were not only offering a unique entertainment spin and the coolest contests in Canada, the new Dose.ca environment takes visitors behind the scenes and keeps them coming back for more.
Dose.ca kicks off its marketing campaign with a medical bracelet cover wrap on the September issue of Vice magazine and a reference to the slogan What didnt kill us, made us stronger. The marketing campaign, launched this week, includes advertisements in movie theatres and bars across Canada as well as radio spots and full colour ads in major Canadian markets, including Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal.
With its focus on celebrities, music and movies, Dose.ca meets the information and entertainment news needs of youth-minded individuals, and is one in a suite of CanWest MediaWorks online properties, which includes canada.com, working.com, driving.ca, renting.ca and others, says Arturo Duran, President, Interactive and Business Integration, CanWest MediaWorks Inc.
In the coming months, a series of exciting promotions and new features focused on celebrities, nightlife and a new roster of lifestyle brands will follow the site redesign.
Earlier this year, CanWest MediaWorks Inc. announced plans to shift the focus of its youth-oriented brand, Dose, to the online and mobile arena. Since then, the number of visitors to Dose.ca has continued to climb, reaching 220,000 unique visitors in July 2006, the highest number to date, according to Comscore MediaMetrix.
