The ET Canada StudioLounge™ debuts during the 31st annual Toronto International Film Festival®

Rooftop of the renowned Harry Rosen flagship store in the heart of Festival Village will host stars and celebrities.
(Toronto, ON) - The ET Canada StudioLounge, located high atop the famed Harry Rosen headquarters in downtown Toronto, will open its doors this inaugural year celebrating two of Canada’s most acclaimed artists, Paul Haggis and Sarah Polley.

On Saturday Sept. 9, ET Canada presents a tribute evening to Academy Award winner Paul Haggis, writer of “Million Dollar Baby” and co-writer, co-producer and director of the Oscar-winning film “Crash”. Mr. Haggis will be in town during the festival promoting the film he wrote - “The Last Kiss”, starring Zach Braff, Jacinda Barett and Rachel Bilson, as well as participating in the Toronto International Film festival Industry Centre writer’s labs.

Earlier this year, film-goers in 170 communities across Canada awarded “Crash” with the Mackenzie Investments Film Circuit People’s Choice award for best international film in 2005. During the tribute John Dale and Valerie Shaw of Mackenzie Investments and Karen Bruce, Film Circuit Senior Manager will present the award to Mr. Haggis.

On Monday Sept. 11, The ET Canada StudioLounge will host the official after-party for the world premiere of Sarah Polley’s directorial debut “Away From Her”, starring Julie Christie, Gordon Pinsent and Olympia Dukakis.

The ET Canada StudioLounge marks a significant innovative first on the TIFF insiders' scene. Never before has a broadcast entertainment news magazine hosted its own lounge at this prestigious festival.

“Along with our partners, we are thrilled to introduce the ET Canada StudioLounge…a lush garden space for celebrities and industry executives to come together and celebrate their films and accomplishments,” said Zev Shalev, Sr. Executive Producer, Entertainment Tonight Canada.

The ET Canada StudioLounge was created by Liberty Entertainment Group and Mediathink in conjunction with its partners: CanWest MediaWorks, Visa Canada and L’Oreal Paris.

Watch for updates and announcements in the days to come on the exclusive event lineup at the ET Canada Studio Lounge.
