(TORONTO) - Global Television today announced the first round of presenters for the 21st Annual Gemini Awards, broadcasting for the first time on-location to audiences nationwide from The River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, BC on Saturday, November 4th.

Presenters for the 2006 telecast include:

• Evangeline Lilly—Lost
• Shawn Ashmore—Terry
• Brent Butt—Corner Gas
• Nicholas Campbell—Da Vinci’s City Hall
• Wendy Crewson—The Man Who Lost Himself
• Cheryl Hickey—Entertainment Tonight Canada
• Shaun Majumder—This Hour Has 22 Minutes
• Cara Pifko—This Is Wonderland
• Amanda Tapping—Stargate

Prior to the broadcast, Amanda Tapping of Stargate will Host a special presentation of awards, immediately followed by the hour-long televised programme of additional awards.

The 21st Annual Gemini Awards will kick-off with a special half-hour presentation, ET Canada Live: On the Gemini Red Carpet. Host Cheryl Hickey, along with the ET Canada team of reporters will welcome the stars, dish on nominee and presenter fashions, and provide exclusive backstage buzz from The ET Canada Gemini Lounge.

21st Annual Gemini Awards Fast Facts:

GEMINI STYLE: Presenters of this year’s show will have the opportunity to be styled by renowned Canadian fashion leader Vladimir Markovich, Founder and Creative Director of BC Fashion Week.

GEMINI CHIC: Canada’s Next Top Model 2006 winner, Andrea Muizelaar of Whitby, Ontario will be the official trophy host for the 21st Annual Gemini Awards.

GEMINI VIBE: Highlander star Jim Byrnes lends his voice as the official announcer of the Awards…AND…internationally renowned DJ and turntablist Kid Koala is confirmed as the house band for the show.
