CanWest MediaWorks Publications Inc. Launches Ottawa RushHour

Online PM Edition Targets Readership Growth Opportunity
OTTAWA – Dennis Skulsky, President of CanWest MediaWorks Publications Inc, today announced the launch of Ottawa RushHour, a free news update and entertainment guide that fills the afternoon gap in news delivery. Beginning on Monday, November 13 th, Ottawa RushHour will be introduced to the market online at ottawacitizen.com in an easy-to-print PDF format each weekday at 12p.m. Additionally, it will be available in print at 120 locations in Ottawa by 4p.m. from Monday to Thursday. In total, Ottawa RushHour is expected to attract a daily audience of 60,000 readers.

“This quick, easy, and free end-of-day update is available when and where Ottawa readers want it - whether it's at a bus stop or on a computer at the office or at home,” said Jim Orban, Publisher of the Ottawa Citizen. “Ottawa RushHour will appeal to those people with busy schedules looking for a mid-day update on news and entertainment.”
