working.com honoured with award for best overall jobs website

TORONTO, April 14, 2005/ - CanWest Interactive Media is proud to announce
that working.com, Canada's fastest growing job site, is the recipient of this
year's prestigious CareerCast Award for Best Overall Site. working.com was
cited for having the best overall approach, including the site itself, the
sales materials and media kit, promotional campaigns, and performance on
success metrics such as revenue and traffic.

working.com was launched in October of 2004, and has grown rapidly, now
reaching 1.4 million unique visitors each month. It is already the number 1
jobs website in western Canada. Last month, the site expanded its services to
include free postings for employers seeking summer help and students looking
for summer employment; both employers and students can visit the site, list or
seek summer jobs at no charge.

"Winning the award for best overall careers site over such established
and well-respected sites as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal is
an enormous accomplishment for working.com", says Rick Miller, CEO,
CareerCast.

"CanWest won because they have truly transformed their newspaper
recruitment business into a multi-platform enterprise. This win is a
significant achievement for a site that's only five months old."

This is the second year that CareerCast has held the competition.

"The strategy to transform our recruitment advertising business from a
single platform to multiple platforms involved a variety of systems, sales
training, marketing and development initiatives," says Kim Peters,
working.com's Director of Online Careers, who joined CanWest last year after
having started workopolis.com. "It's particularly gratifying to see that our
business transformation has been recognized for excellence", she concluded.
