(TORONTO - February 16, 2006) - Buzzworthy primetime moves, and Canada's favourite entertainment news program top this Global Primetime Update.
The Apprentice Season 5 moves to Monday nights at 9pm ET/PT beginning on February 27 followed by all new episodes of 24 now at 10pm ET/PT only on Global Television.
It is an international affair as the latest instalment of The Apprentice premieres on its new night...with candidates hailing from the former U.S.S.R., England, and Canada, joining Donald Trump for the fifth hit season on Global. For the first time, Trump's daughter Ivanka and eldest son Donald Jr. will fill in during multiple episodes for Carolyn Kepcher and George Ross respectively.
18 months have passed and a presumed dead Jack Bauer returns to action when a presidential assassination triggers explosive attacks and a hostage situation led by Russian extremists. CTU, reeling from the recent events, adds a new leader as America faces its longest day and operatives attempt to prevent the series' most lethal terror threat yet on U.S. soil.
ET Canada dominated the Canadian entertainment news scene with a Grammy week ratings knockout - delivering a 600,000 (2+/BBM) average national audience, and continuing their winning season 1 performance across all key demos. From the red carpet to the hottest celebrity parties, ET Canada remains the fan favourite.
Audiences nationwide can stay tuned to ET Canada and www.globaltv.com for details on upcoming Canadian television exclusives with Jason Lee (My Name is Earl), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Donald Trump (The Apprentice) and Wentworth Miller (Prison Break)...plus the nation's most comprehensive look at Hollywood's biggest night of the year as ET Canada covers The 78th Annual Academy Awards.
Las Vegas moves from CH to Global...Las Vegas now Friday nights at 9pm ET/PT beginning March 3, delivering a strong lead to the series premiere of the new drama by Law & Order creator Dick Wolf... Conviction airs at 10pm ET/PT.
Now in its third season, Las Vegas is a fast-paced, sexy drama following the elite Las Vegas surveillance team charged with maintaining the security of one of "Sin City's" largest resorts and casinos ... starring James Caan and Josh Duhamel.
Shot entirely on location in New York, Conviction is the latest creation of TV genius Dick Wolf....a character-oriented series focusing on the lives and the loves of young Assistant District Attorneys in New York who are confronted with emotional, high-profile cases that often challenge their limited experience, starring Stephanie March and Jordan Bridges.
Prison Break returns with all new episodes beginning Monday nights at 8pm ET beginning March 20.
