(TORONTO, January 16, 2006) In the days leading up to the Friday release of "Karla", the dramatisation of the life and imprisonment of schoolgirl killer Karla Homolka, Global Television's Entertainment Tonight Canada caught up exclusively with the film's star Laura Prepon, to bring new information and context to the controversy surrounding the feature film.
ET Canada's own Erin Cebula talked to Prepon on the Los Angeles set of her sitcom That 70s Show - in a frank and open discussion about Canada, the film, and its central character.
In addition to questioning Homolka's newfound freedom, Prepon also reflects on trying to meet Homolka as research for the film, and facing the raw emotions the project has stirred in Canada.
I had tried to go up and see her and that was shut down very quickly ... that was my first glimpse into oh god what are we getting into right now," said Prepon.
When asked whether Karla should be free today, Prepon responded: I don't at all. She in some ways is maybe even more dangerous than Paul [Bernardo] because she's really smart, really manipulative and that's another part of the story that people don't know.
Audiences can catch the full interview tonight on Entertainment Tonight Canada at 7pm ET on Global Television.
