“As Edmonton continues to grow, more people are leaving for work and school earlier each day,” says Neill Fitzpatrick, news director of Global Edmonton. “The new 5:30am start time for our Morning News will provide viewers with all the news, weather and traffic information they need to start their day.”
In addition, commuters across greater Edmonton will soon get a first look at the drive and the day's breaking stories from the “Global 1” Edmonton News Helicopter when it launches later this spring.
“Our Morning News is the city’s most-watched morning newscast and we continue to set the pace with the upcoming addition of the city’s only television news and traffic helicopter,” says Fitzpatrick. “From traffic congestions to breaking news, ‘Global 1’ will give Edmontonians a bird’s eye view of what’s happening in the city.”
