It’s about time - Aboriginal youth speaking for themselves! Stories about Aboriginal youth, written by Aboriginal youth. Music reviews, poetry, fashion and articles on everything from friends and jobs to sports and the environment can be found monthly in issues of Shout.

In each issue, Shout presents material that speaks to Aboriginal youth on many different levels, in many different ways. We strive to provide balance in the content and acknowledge the diversity of Aboriginal youth. The magazine is published 10 times a year and distributed free of charge to Aboriginal students in more than 230 highs schools on and off reserve, throughout Saskatchewan. Copies of the magazine are provided to Band and Tribal Council offices, friendship centres, and a cross-section of government, community and business leaders each month. Additionally, Shout is available by paid subscription to individuals and organizations that have a vested interest in the development of Aboriginal youth and there are plans to enhance distribution efforts by making Shout available on select newsracks in the near future.

Shout is the result of a partnership between the First Nations University of Canada, MGM Communications (owned by the Battlefords Tribal Council), and the Leader-Post/StarPhoenix.
