Twylla West
On the Prairies, where the weather can change without warning, Global News is committed to providing our viewers with ever-changing forecasts and weather warnings. Global Regina uses a state of the art weather system called Live. This system uses the most advanced technology to predict future weather patterns. The Live system is constantly collecting data to enable our weather specialist, Twylla West, to air the forecast with the most up-to-date information possible. Regional changes in weather are most visible with our Future Cast system. Future Cast uses two layers of data (clouds & radar) to map out the current conditions, how the systems will evolve and presents it in an easy to understand format. With Future Cast, Twylla can use this to pinpoint, almost to the exact hour, when rain or snow will fall and also when we can expect extreme weather. This system is a technological first for southern Saskatchewan and Global stands head & shoulders above the competition when it comes to delivering accurate and timely weather information.
